Join us on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at Noon for a Museum People Call spotlighting Serve Illinois and their powerful Galaxy Connect Volunteer Recruitment Platform. This session will offer a clear, practical look at how Galaxy Connect can strengthen your volunteer pipeline and guide you through setting up your account.
Participants will also learn about Illinois United in Service where volunteers can log their hours online with Serve Illinois beginning Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Monday, Jan. 19. Volunteers who log hours will receive a special commemorative certificate for the nation’s 250th anniversary. In addition, organizations statewide can share volunteer events and with Serve Illinois, enabling prospective volunteers to match with opportunities near them.
Illinois United in Service is one of a series of signature initiatives organized by the commission to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. The commission was established to lead an inclusive, statewide celebration that uplifts local stories, highlights significant places and programs, and showcases how Illinoisans bring the ideals of the Declaration of Independence to life.
