Join IAM and the Nauvoo Illinois Historical Society "On the Road" as we connect with regional museum people at a morning workshop and visit area museums in the afternoon. Nauvoo's topic includes resources and innovation in the museum industry - AI, multimedia exhibitions, digital preservation... how should small museums plan for the future?

From 8:30 - 11:30 am, IAM will offer a free workshop and networking time. After lunch, participants can join a "museum hop" to visit area sites and learn from colleagues.

About the Great River Road

Developed in 1938, the 2,340 mile Great River Road follows the Mississippi River through 10 states from its beginnings at Lake Itaska in Minnesota, through Louisiana where it enters the Gulf of Mexico. In Illinois, the byway follows the banks and bluffs through quant river towns and urban cities as it hugs the western border of the state for more than 550 magnificent miles.
